Another Update On Emmy...

We heard from the Dr yesterday and yes she did test postive for the Mono virus and tonsilitis, which would be why her white cell count was so high. She is feeling better everyday, so that is good.

Emelia is sick...

Hello. Emelia is sick. She has been sick for the last two weeks. Al was home with her twice the first week. The second day she was not able to return to daycare because she was running a fever of 101.0 We then took her to the Lake Forest Acute Care on Saturday. They ran a rapid strep test, negative. They said is was viral. So, we decided to let it takes it's course. The following Monday, the school would not allow her to stay because of continuous coughing. So, I was home with her (which caused me to lose my job). She then returned to school on Thursday and I was called to pick her up in the afternoon, she was running a fever of 102.5 We took her to the doctor Friday, because all morning she was running 102.0 and that was on ibuprofen and Tylenol. The Dr. ran a rapid strep and rapid flu, negative. She then sent her for blood work, testing her for Mono. I received a call from the Dr office this morning, said the rapid Mono came back negative but her white blood cells are extremely high. She placed her an antibiotic, Omicef. They will call us Monday with the more in depth blood work results.

House Hunting 2009

Ah...House Hunting. What a joy!? Is it or is it not? Al & I are currently house hunting. I am not sure if buying a car or a house is more difficult. When Al & I set out to buy a car, we can hardly agree and now we are looking for a house. This will be fun!

Al's ideal home is, a big yard and a garage. My ideal home is, good size bedrooms and cosmetic. Now if only we can find a house will all that, that would be a dream. So far we have found a house that has; a garage and looks nice (house is under contract now); a house that has 4 bedrooms that are a good size and plenty of room everywhere else, but no yard and smurf blue; and a house that has pretty much all of what we are looking for, but the yard is under water.

(nice house, no yard) (Smurf house, no yard) (Everything, floods)
We found one (keep the fingers crossed) that is in Ingleside, IL, that has a yard, garage, 3 good size bedrooms upstairs, living room, kitchen, screened in porch, full basement with large family room another bedroom or playroom or office downstairs, with a patio under the screened in porch and a hot tub outside. Could this be the one?

10 Wonderful Years...

Al & I celebrated our 10 year anniversary on February 20th, 2009. We invited our family,
friends and bridal party. We celebrated at Bill's Pub North in Grayslake, IL. We all had a wonderful time. We received very nice gifts and it was such an honor to celebrate such a milestone in our life's with the people we love, who have has been there for us to help us succeed to 10 wonderful years of marriage. Without our family and friends our tough times would have been tougher. I can't thank my sisters enough for their support and advice. They are always there when I need to talk. Thank you and I love you. To my parents...Wow! I think we could be a deep-deep hole right now without your help. We greatly appreciate all your help and support you have given us over the last 10 years. We have learned so much from you and hope that we can in return help our children the way you have, when they need us to. We love you.
To Al ~ I love you with all my heart. Your are my soul mate. You have given me so much love in so many ways. Thank you for the 3 greatest gifts I could ask for; Your Love, Courtney & Emelia. You have been by side through everything and never crumbled. Your love has gotten me through some tough times in my life, recently. I thank God every day for you and your love.
